Buddha Watchful Eyes ~ The Great Boudha Stupa

The biggest stupa in the whole world

The largest stupa in the whole world- Boudhanath Stupa or The Great Boudha Stupa. As we enter in the place we just follow the crowd. A lot of buddhist people and tourist that time. We first follow what they do. They walk around the stupa clockwise and saying "Om Mani Padme Hum". For me this is the most sacred place I been.

The Main Buddhist Destination of Nepal are Lumbini, Swoyambhu Stupa, Namo Buddha and the place that we went is Boudha Stupa.
The ticket price is 250 rupees. The cheapest temple we visit.
Trivia
The Boudhanath Stupa is the biggest stupa in Nepal and the largest and most significant Buddhist monument in the whole world. It is believed that this great stupa was built during Kashyapa Buddha's end period and the beginning period of Shakyamuni Buddha. Buddhist people believe that the relics of Kashyapa Buddha, the third Buddha of Bhadrakalpa was enshrined in the dome of this stupa. The Great Stupa is also called the Stupa of enlightenment or Bodhi Stupa. The great stupa is enlisted on world heritage site by UNESCO in 1979 and has become the common monument of the people all over the world. There are different parts of boudha stupa said by our tour guide: 1. Mandala ~ the mansion of Buddha 2. Dome ~ Symbol of Universe or Vase of great treasure 3. Two Eyes ~ Symbol of method and wisdom 4. Harmika ~ Symbol of eight noble paths 5. Nose Like Symbol ~ Symbol of Nirvana. 6. Thirteen Steps ~ The thirteen states of Bodhisattva's ground for the complete enlightment 7. Lotus ~ Symbol of compassion and purity 8. Umbrella ~ Protector of three jewels Buddha, Dharma and Sangha 9. Pinnacle ~ Symbol of Mt Sumeru (The king of the mountain).

Only Buddhist people are allowed in the upper part of stupa.
